About Us

Kicking-off Orange County United Way’s Campaign is truly one of my most favorite times of the year. My team is given the opportunity to excite and re-engage our most valued corporate and community partners and build new relationships with organizations and donors not yet involved with United Way.

We also recently had the opportunity to recognize and thank our standout corporate partners at the annual Celebration event held at Angels Stadium of Anaheim. More than 45 Orange County organizations were recognized for their giving achievements through workplace campaigns and volunteer efforts. Thank you to these corporate partners for your continued dedication to building self-sufficient lives through United Way during the 2008/2009 campaign year.

Despite the successes of these corporate partners, the 2009/2010 campaign year could post some challenges due to the lingering economic climate, so the United Way team is reaching out to the entire Orange County community – stressing the importance of how a small gift can make a huge impact. Did you know that by contributing only $20, you can provide a night of lodging to a family of four who needs shelter from the cold? Or provide food for an entire month for another in-need family? These small, but impactful donations will change someone’s life.

You have the ability to change a life this year and I hope you choose to do so with Orange County United Way. I look forward to building relationships and strengthening our community during the 2009/2010 campaign year.

Most Sincerely,

Maria Chavez Wilcox
