Purpose of Position
Responsible for brand management and oversight of the Marketing Department including organizational positioning, strategic planning, media relations and campaign communications
Major Areas of Responsibility
•Lead and manage the implementation of the marketing plan
•Create and manage the marketing department work plan and budget
•Supervise, develop and evaluate the marketing staff
•Develop and coordinate and communicate organizational messaging and educate all key constituents of its usage.
•Track, manage and evaluate plan implementation
•Pursue strategic alliances, partnerships and co-marketing opportunities
•Strategize on market segmentation activities
•Act as final editor and provide final approvals on marketing and communication deliverables
•Leverage branding efforts of United Way of America
•Provide issues, media and marketing counsel to senior management
•Edit/supervise in the production of PR tools, including
oOnline communications
oPress releases
oPress kits
•Supervise all vendor assignments and contracts
•Manage production of assigned collateral
•Supervise the development, execution, production and placement of advertising
Job Requirements
BA in a business related field is required. Minimum of five years in a management position managing a multifaceted complex organization, with an emphasis on marketing. Progressive professional experience than demonstrates required knowledge and abilities. Non profit experience preferred.
